The house of knowledge uses ‘structure as architecture’ and incorporates nature in to the design, providing a calming and connecting experience for the user. Designing for light was a key aspect of exploration, investigating the close relationship that it hold with architectural form and space.

The House of Knowledge

This project explore affects and ecologies in the urban realm. It asks how people use non-prescriptive urban spaces for actives that aren’t always provided for in cities. It proposes replacing a car parking lot with a flexible open space that provides an orientation point for an emerging urban neighbourhood. The intention is to keep and enhance (rather than displace) the aspects of the carpark that makes it an adaptable and valuable urban space. It supports the evolution of a unique community identity based on how locals use and socialise in the public space.

Urban Orientation: facilitating emerging inner-city neighbourhood identity + culture

The La Recup mag - is a magazine entirely made from recycled paper found in the bins of the VUW campus. It is a magazine that advertises healthy and sustainable eating choices to university students through the use of sustainable recipes provided by chefs around wellington. Included in the magazine are interviews of the chefs providing the weekly recipes along with information about global sustainability (issues and news) and sustainability in New Zealand.

La Recup Mag

Designed and make as a part of a student installation. 'K' explores the capital K letterform in 3D space, inspired by the colloquial connotations of the letter, as well as the more traditional shape of the letterform. It was produced out of black and white foam board and prototyped in cardboard.
