Overview:

This project looked at redesigning a city block on the corner of Manners St,Victoria St, and Lombard St in Te aro and turning it into an epicentre for carbon sequestration. The idea ofreintroducing large amounts of vegetation back into urban environments was also used in the design processhence the name ‘Overgrowth.’ With the outcome being a new corner city block that recycles carbon at a high ratewhile also creating a new micro climate in an urban environment where for once it feels like a living, thriving, and rich environment.
