Overview:

Restore Value asks; what if waste material was perceived as the greatest untapped resource? This research challenges the archetypes of spatial practice through various design processes and methods that give agency to waste material. Reusing reclaimed building materials could be a pivotal method to reduce overall material waste and decrease the need for new extraction, looking at demolition waste as a potential reservoir for future materials. Due to the large amounts of waste from the interior industry, this work reframes demolition waste to celebrate the imperfections aesthetically.
